The Team (2015-2018)

Quite a nice season, although a purely Danish crime series scores higher with me so far. What can be learned from this first season of 'The Team' (what a lousy title by the way) is the influence of Thorsboe. Regardless of which series he has co-wrote, there are always the same elements: every detective has issues in his/her private life that are covered far too broadly. Or crucial apps that are read too late, or crooks who left just before the police arrive. Or a detective who ends up in the hospital. Keep it up. When you regularly watch this type of series, it starts to get boring at a certain point. Such an internationally oriented series is something different. I thought the cast was well chosen, Veerle Baetens in particular was the only right choice for me, mainly because I recently Code 37 (Serie, 2009 - 2012) with her. I think Mikkelsen is good anyway, despite the fact that he played a bit of a timid role here. The main plot was well put together. In terms of tension it was not too bad and the playing time was such that it remained fascinating.

Coincidentally, I saw the series on Netflix. Seemed interesting to me. And it was.
Much better than season 1. Cliffhangers every time, which makes you want to see the next episode. Exciting. I got into this series more than the first series.
The theme this time is art theft and Danish right-wing extremism. Also of all times. You don't need much imagination to translate CU into IS. This concealment was unnecessary.
Otherwise the same ingredients as series 1. Private life and mutual relationships are highlighted. And again well executed.
The acting is fine.
A nice pace per episode.
I understand that it has remained with two series. Don't milk too much. It's been nice.
