Nice film about a teenager who dies in a street race and is given an assignment before he can go to heaven. The progression is quite predictable, but that's not a problem here. The film has a nice, bad '80s atmosphere. The casting also works fine. The whole thing is somewhat reminiscent of Back to the Future, which was released in the same year.

I follow the high scores. One of the better 80s comedies with its heart in the right place and a relatively unknown cast. Teenage dreams on white screen; the people of my generation know what that means. A tough guy dies in the 1950s but still has to fulfill an assignment before he goes "uptown": taking care of the local nerd.

Of course you see all the well-known clichés from these types of films rushing by: showing off his looks and cars, the nerd who wants to seduce the most beautiful chick and at the end gets an inspiration that he ultimately feels more for the less beautiful but intelligent girl, the beautiful chick who the nerd deflowered, the bullies and their insulting pranks etc... but the slightly deeper layer lies in the character of Bobby who has thrown his life away in a stupid way. But above all it is experiencing the eighties atmosphere.
