  • New: Custom banner art for game invites is here! 🎨 See the full changelog → https://lnkd.in/gtkhg6Kv You asked, we delivered! A small but mighty update to the Social SDK brings a highly requested feature that lets you make your game invites stand out in Discord. Now, you can provide custom banner images for game invites. This is a game-changer for engagement and branding. How to implement it: 1. Dynamic Invites: Specify a URL or asset key in the activity.assets.inviteCoverImage parameter when calling Client::UpdateRichPresence. This lets you set a unique image for each invite. 2. Default Art: Upload a fallback cover image in the Rich Presence tab of your Developer Portal. Take control of your visual branding and make every invite more compelling for your players.

  • Unlock New Interactions: File Uploads are now in Modals! 📁 You no longer have to rely on just text input for your modal components. With the brand new File Upload component, you can start collecting files, images, and data directly from users through your application's modals. The power is in your hands: 🤸🏿 Flexibility: Easily specify a minimum and maximum number of files (up to 10). ⚠️ Control: Define if uploading files is required before submission. 🧘🏼 Simplicity: Any file type is accepted. This feature opens the door to richer user-submitted content for things like bug reports, in-game asset submissions, or community contests. Read the documentation → https://lnkd.in/gKiqjjZh

  • For highly social games like Town of Salem 2, custom-building reliable cross-platform voice for console takes extensive development time. The Discord Social SDK solved this quickly, enabling Digital Bandidos to focus their dev team on core gameplay instead. Hear from co-founder Steve Escalante on how they use the SDK to unify players across platforms and give valuable time back to developers. Watch here: https://lnkd.in/gyCrT6uU
