VMP (Vinyl Me, Please) reposted this
3 weeks ago, we acquired VMP (Vinyl Me, Please). After a wave of unexpected media coverage, here’s a personal update on what’s happening — and why this beloved, messy, magical business is worth every ounce of effort. VMP is a record club founded by two gents I call friends, Matt and Tyler. They built a community of audiophiles, collectors, and obsessives who believe in the magic of physical music. As a kid who grew up in record stores and 17 Columbia House memberships, VMP always struck all the right chords with me. Emily Muhoberac (VMP new's COO) and I are hosting a live AMA this week to answer the community’s questions, hear ideas, and lay out what’s next. For prior customers, it's been a bumpy ride — with delayed orders, missing records, and plenty of frustration — and we know trust needs to be rebuilt. We’ll be transparent about what’s happening behind the scenes and how we’re fixing it. If you’re curious about the turnaround and future of VMP, RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/gwB4EaPz This turnaround takes a village. I’m looking to reconnect with industry folks — especially those in music, vinyl, retail, logistics, packaging, and production — who want to help us make this a win. If you’ve worked with VMP before and felt left behind, I want to hear from you. If you’re a vendor, a label, or a partner, let’s talk. And if that’s not you, tag or share with someone who is. This is my labor of love, and I’m betting on vinyl’s enduring pull. Check out Variety’s article on our acquisition here: https://lnkd.in/gv9p53mp
