"What happens in this video?" is a surprisingly hard question to ask a machine. Find Scenes answers it by mapping a video into structured scenes of what was shown and said. It's our latest Mux Robots workflow, built on Shots. Read more from Victor Boutté: https://lnkd.in/eRJavW_T

"Without Mux, nothing you're seeing on Cutsio is possible." — Rish Agarwal, Cutsio founder Cutsio turns hard drives full of footage into a library you can search by what's being said or what's happening on screen. When you upload a clip, Mux Robots goes to work in the background, generating summaries, tags, key moments, and chapters that appear in real time in the UI while you keep editing. Hot take? React Native needs a new video player — so Joshua Alphonse made one. Native playback on iOS and Android, Mux Data out of the box, and Mux Robots for chapters, summaries, and key moments right inside the player UI. Here's how he did it: https://lnkd.in/gZ2ne9Yh

We asked a few developers what they think needs to stay — and what needs to change — as AI becomes a bigger part of how we build. Here's what Timothy Johnson II of Cru and Sentry's Sergiy Dybskiy and Richard Roggenkemper had to say.

@mux/ai is the open source sibling of Mux Robots — you bring your own API keys, choose your own models, and get full control over how video intelligence behaves in your app. Joshua Alphonse used LoRA to fine-tune Mistral Small 3.1 on 10,000 synthetically generated training examples, added Baseten as a provider, and wired the whole thing into @mux/ai. With this setup he got more concise, workflow-specific outputs for summarization, chapter generation, caption translation, and more. Mux Robots is still the fastest way to add video AI features, @mux/ai is a better fit when you want more control over how the model behaves. Check out how he did it: https://lnkd.in/eBbMJpm7

We launched a new feature here at Mux called directives and it’s a really powerful abstraction that helps you automate AI-powered workflows on your videos. Configure once, reuse infinitely, and let Mux handle all the messy orchestration logic ( :

We made it to the Big Apple! 🍎 This week, Mux launched physical ads across NYC's subways. From Broadway to Brooklyn, from Knicks games to NY Tech Week — we'll be here for all of it. Shoutout to Vivian Chan Creasy and Robert Mach for making this happen.
