    We had an SDR at an open opp account Facetime their Orum 🥇 AE from our Dive Bar Tour event in London to tell her how much fun they were having. But what's the ROI, right? If you joined Jihan and I yesterday, I talked about a new metric I'm starting to report on at our events: pipeline in the room. It's the idea of tabulating customer revenue, open opportunity value, and prospect value to get a sense of the total potential revenue present at an event. For me this measure serves as a realtime feedback on the potential influence of an event. While we'll communicate sourced opps and pipeline influence during reasonable lookback windows, there's something about the immediate gratification of showing the holistic potential of an event that really build excitement and context for the investment. For Dive Bar Tour London, pipeline in the room was 36x our investment 🤯

  • SDRs, it's okay to say you're struggling. We know you're stretched super thin right now. Today, SDRs support more AEs on average, often in ratios of 1 to 4 or 1 to 5, with some exceeding 1 to 7. Very few orgs have more SDRs than AEs. Instead of adding headcount, most teams have invested in technology, placing more responsibility on each rep. So it's no surprise that SDR quota attainment is declining. Compared to 2024, when 75% of respondents said most of their SDRs hit quota, SDR attainment now falls in the 40-60% range. The SDR role is in desperate need of a makeover if we're all going to meet our goals. We predict that in 2026, SDRs will become conversation specialists, spending more time talking to buyers and using AI to remove the burden of tedious admin work.     Last week the Orum 🥇 team ran our first-ever total market takeover. One city, one week, and as many meaningful moments as we could pack in. Here's what we pulled off: 🤝 Customer & prospect meetings. We showed reps how to use Orum, made it fun, and threw in a little friendly competition. Plus gave away some pretty rad swag 🧣 🎸 A Dive Bar Tour Event for the London SDR community that felt like stumbling into the best basement show of 2003. Pop punk nostalgia, real networking, great people. 🍽️ A candid dinner with sales development executives on the state of outbound and what it actually looks like to bring AI into the SDR motion in a way that works. 🎤 Pipeline Conference Europe. We showed up for Sam Nelson's incredible EMEA SDR leader community and got to put Arely Brattin🥇 on stage to talk about how she coaches her winning SDR team.
