Thank you for your tremendous ongoing support! We are so grateful to you and Cable Dahmer! Your actions help make our community stronger!
Proud of the incredible impact made through the partnership between Cable Dahmer and Harvesters this past fiscal year. As hunger rises across our region — now affecting 1 in 7 neighbors and 1 in 6 children — partnerships rooted in shared values matter more than ever. Together, we helped provide millions of meals to families, seniors, and children who need it most. I’m especially proud of the $2.68M raised during the Cable Dahmer Summer Match, which helped generate nearly $4.84M as our community stepped up in a powerful way. We are currently over 18 million meals and growing with a goal of 20 million in 2026. This is what happens when purpose meets action. Grateful to be part of a team committed to making a difference.

We haven't stopped smiling since it was announced that Kristin Griffin has been promoted to Director of Community Engagement at Harvesters, and now it's your turn! She was previously our Senior Manager of Philanthropy ‑ Major Gifts, where she shone bright. If you know her, you love her, and we know she's going to rock it in her new role.

Please help us congratulate our newest winner of our Can Do award, Sean Johnson! As our receiving inventory data coordinator, Sean ensures all products and donations received meet the necessary safety guidelines. He also logs thousands of pounds of food into our inventory system daily, keeping our inventory stocked and organized. Sean’s positivity and tireless work ethic make him a true powerhouse who inspires everyone around him. Here is what his coworker had to say about him: “Sean pretty much hit the ground running when he started at Harvesters and has excelled ever since. He has shown amazing adaptability and consistently rolls with the punches through changing policies, personnel, and ever-changing donation items. He is my go-to when I have questions regarding unloading and is always willing to stay late and help whenever needed. He remains calm and polite no matter the circumstances. Sean is definitely a hidden gem at Harvesters!” Thank you, Sean, for all that you do for Harvesters and our community!

Hallee had a tough upbringing. After her parents separation, she came to Kansas City, where her mother worked multiple jobs to make ends meet. She often borrowed food from neighbors and didn’t know where her next meal would come from. As a teenager, she was required to complete a volunteer program. This is when she found Harvesters. “They welcomed me with open arms,” she said. “It gave me a village.” Her community service experience inspired Hallee to become a certified community health worker, giving back to the community and being a voice for those who feel unheard. Today, she still volunteers at Harvesters and wants others to know you don’t have to have everything figured out to help others. “Even when you’re struggling,” she says, “There’s always a light coming."
