Last week, I hosted Emplifi’s first Caffeinated Convos where we spoke about platform divergence and the death of the "like." #EmplifiPartner Here are my biggest takeaways from our chat: ➡️ Copy-paste strategy is a growth killer. Gone are the days of putting one video on every platform. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝: 📲 iPhone lofi VS high production? Do what honors the concept this best. 🏅 Lean into what the team does best. Have great copywriters? Experiment more on Threads or X. Have amazing short form video creators? Lean into Reels, TiKTok and Shorts. ✏️ TLDR: Now more than ever, it’s important to design content specifically for the platform it lives on. ➡️ Followers and likes aren’t the biggest indication for “success” 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝: 🔍 Become a sociologist. Dive into “high value engagements” like Shares, Saves, Watch time to understand how and why the audience reacted that way. Then scale what works. 🪝Nail down your “hooks” for video content: The first 3-5 seconds are the most important. Do you know the formula for what works and what doesn’t? 🧪 Take high performing recent posts and post them on Trial Reels. Since the algorithms are favoring new audiences, Trial Reels are a way to experiment with content that ONLY new followers will see. Every post is an audition in the algorithm.
