The future is female-owned. 🤯 Nearly 1 in 2 new businesses last year were started by women. Women aren’t just founding companies. They’re creating businesses that fuel families, communities, and the economy. And we need to support them better. There's growing fear on Wall Street that BLS jobs numbers are missing an important part of today's economic picture. One big reason: The growth of solopreneurs. As shown below, growth in 1-person small businesses has been massively outpacing growth in employer firms over the past decade. And the core BLS employer survey completely omits these from national job counts, by definition. At Gusto we're been making the case for the economic importance of these solopreneur small businesses to the U.S. economy -- learn more about this important trend here: https://lnkd.in/gBwV3Ui6 https://lnkd.in/d4sF-tgy

I’m honored that this recent BizWomen article was written as a joint op-ed between Gusto and NAWBO. For me, it’s more than just an article. It reflects what I see every day: women starting businesses at historic rates, shaping the future of our economy, and doing it with resilience and vision. Partnering with Gusto to shine a light on this story feels both timely and deeply important. When women succeed, communities thrive. This joint op-ed is proof that when organizations come together to highlight, measure, and support women-owned businesses, we don’t just create an article - we create momentum. And I’m grateful to be part of that momentum, with Gusto by our side. #WomenInBusiness #NAWBO #EconomicEmpowerment #Partnership

I used to pay my employees on Venmo. Yeah… My accountant almost fainted. That’s founder life… the stress isn’t coffee jitters If you’re an employee, it’s getting paid. And if you’re an employer it’s making payroll. The fact that I even have employees at Creator Match 🧩 is an insane concept, but I always go to bed worried if I will make payroll. A business friend recommended I check out Gusto. At first I thought it was a cooking app lol, but then learned that the tool basically handles all of the tedious backend ops that I cannot stand as a business owner. ✈️ So flew out to San Francisco for their flagship small business event, Gusto Showcase. And this company has been on a tear. → Acquired Guideline. → Launched Instant Pay so your team can cash out anytime. → Health plans that cut costs by 20%. → Even a Payroll Hub to keep accountants sane. But here’s the coolest part. I didn’t go alone. I brought 5 Creators with me who are also business owners: Jahnavi Shah, Will McTighe, Avni Barman, Marina Mogilko, & Lorraine K. Lee! I even got to interview their co founder (Tomer London) to talk about our journeys of quitting our 9-5 jobs. Here’s the truth: your customers don’t care about your “tech stack.” They care about sleeping at night 😴 knowing their business is taken care of. And for me? That peace of mind comes with Gusto #gusstopartner #startupadvice *** 🔔 Follow me AJ Eckstein 🧩 for more content on entrepreneurship, LinkedIn Creator Marketing, and Brand strategies Thanks to the amazing Gusto team (Sunni Dupree Dedrick Boyington-Warmack Morgan Cornelius) for the event/speaker invite and awesome partnership. Love being a "Gustomer."

Once upon a time, payroll meant handing out cash in a shoebox. Today, it’s modern, fast, and built to help small business owners thrive. Our CEO, Josh R., recently sat down with TBPN's Jordi Hays and John Coogan during Y Combinator Demo Day to share: • How payroll has evolved over the years • The birth of Gusto—and the role Y Combinator played in scaling it • Our mission to make life easier for employers and their teams 🎧 Catch the full conversation here (at 27:52): https://lnkd.in/emAZ-pJh
