It’s inspiring to see our alumni LetsData teaming up to make the world a safer place from cyber crimes by shifting into active defense methods with preemptive cybersecurity threat intelligence such as: - Spotting information collection to prevent phishing schemes 🔍 - Identifying impersonation operations to stave off fraud 👥 - Halting pressure narratives that manipulate victims into scams 🛑 Check out this powerful read from Ignacio Sbampato on where CTI stands in 2025. 👉 https://lnkd.in/e-rj7yvP #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth
Classical CTI has long been about technical IOCs. IPs, hashes, domains. But in 2025, that’s not enough. We talked a lot with Ignacio Sbampato about how most of those indicators tell you what has already happened. By the time they show up, the breach is there. What’s missing is the ability to see before the incident: to anticipate, predict, and preempt. That’s why CTI must move beyond static indicators. In his latest blog, Ignacio points out how companies like LetsData are adding the missing dimensions, such as InfoOps, to classical CTI. He also mentions our good friends at BforeAI | The PreCrime™ Company Luigi LENGUITO Sebastian Cesario (whom we were proud to meet via the Google for Startups AI for Cybersecurity program), as another example of this new generation of solutions that are about a preemptive approach. The principle is simple: active defense. - Identify coordinated information operations before they become phishing campaigns. - Detect impersonation networks before they trigger multimillion-dollar fraud. - Catch pressure narratives before they spiral into hybrid attacks. This is predictive and preemptive CTI. Not waiting for IOCs to drop, but acting on the signals adversaries leave behind. A full piece by Ignacio is here https://lnkd.in/emjZCUZx
