In collections, Winning the argument Means losing the payment. Here’s what Ryan had to say 👇 I’ve had collectors who got off the phone smiling. So I asked — “Did you get the payment?” They said, “No.” “But I won that argument.” And that’s where the problem starts. If you got off the phone with no money, You didn’t win — You lost. It’s that simple. Some collectors get caught up trying to prove a point. But in doing so, They lose the account, The money, And sometimes — the customer’s trust forever. A great collector doesn’t argue. They listen. They adapt. They focus on outcomes, not ego. Because in collections, winning the argument means losing the payment. 💡 This post was inspired by insights from Ryan, Gordon, Tessa & Mara during our AccountsRecovery webinar: “Turning Good Collectors into Great Collectors. ♻️ Hit repost so your network receives real-world lessons from the industry’s top voices.

  • Collection operations are drowning in data — and it’s killing efficiency. Payment processors, CRMs, dialers, compliance tools, dispute platforms — each holds critical information. But when these systems don’t talk to each other, chaos follows: missed payments, duplicate efforts, compliance risks, and frustrated consumers. Data silos aren’t just an inconvenience — they’re a liability that costs money, time, and trust. In this webinar, sponsored by Tratta, a panel of experts will uncover the hidden costs of disconnected systems, show how fragmented data creates operational blind spots, and share practical strategies for building a unified, data-driven operation. 📌 How Many Systems Does It Take to Miss a Payment? Fixing Data Chaos in Collections 📅 Tuesday, November 11 @ 1pm ET 🎙️ Panelists: Josh Allen, John Fuller, and Ralph Hall 🔗 Register here: https://lnkd.in/eSxN2NkB Don’t let data chaos hold your team back—reserve your spot now! #DataIntegration #CollectionsTechnology #Webinar

  • Most companies focus on driving clicks. The smart ones focus on what happens after. When digital payments are done right — personalized links, seamless portals, familiar branding — conversion rates don’t just rise; they multiply. Every extra click avoided, every trust signal added, directly impacts your bottom line. That’s the real economics of digital payments. Want more insights like this? But here’s the catch: according to experts, nothing has really changed... yet. The Bureau may have opened the door for future challenges, and that could reshape how furnishers and CRAs operate nationwide. What’s your take? Does the CFPB’s move clarify or complicate things for furnishers and CRAs? #FCRA #CFPB #Compliance #CreditReporting #CollectionsIndustry
