The main issue is in Darfur, a region in western Sudan. The conflict is mainly over power and control of land between armed groups, causing the killing of thousands of innocent people.
Over 270,000 people have fled from Darfur, arriving at an overcrowded camp in Chad with no tents, no homes, and no shade, just open ground and heat that burns through the day.
The water available is contaminated, filled with disease. Children are drinking from muddy puddles because there’s nothing else. Hospitals have collapsed, and food prices have skyrocketed. Every day without help means more lives at risk.
Right now, thousands of families and orphans are fleeing the violence in Darfur. Many walk for miles, until their feet bleed, just to reach safety. But when they arrive, there are no tents, no houses. People are living under the burning sun, with almost nothing.
Our team is on the ground in Sudan, working every day in a camp that holds over 270,000 people. We cook hot meals, give clean water, and care for orphans who have no one else.
Because most water is contaminated, we’ve organized water processing plants, digging new wells, and send water trucks to reach the hardest places. We also run a kitchen and support an orphanage, making sure children have food, safety, and care.
Every day, we work to bring hope, dignity, and relief to those who have lost everything.
