she's been corny and questionable in the past, but she has so much heart and vulnerability that I can't hate her. and I relate alot to and empathize with her chronic and mental illness journey, wishing her the best! also fuck anthony fantano for that review of her new album. and I say this as a long time fan of his

love her. was a big fan in middle school, then kind of moved on & she is only one of a few artists from that era that actually continued to grow artistically to the point where i reconnected with the music organically.

if halsey ever collabed with anyone for a rock song it has to be either NIN again or lady gaga PLEASE

Not even a hardcore Halsey fan and I thought her album was one of the top of 2024. Giving it a 1/10 is wild. Would love to see it nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards

I'm sorry if it sounds offensive or maybe it's too personal to inquire but has Halsey really been diagnosed with cancer? I've only quickly read Wiki, and it says she's been diagnosed with multiple disorders and also lupus which is an autoimmune disease, it's a severe one but it's not cancer.

I am not one for slow albums, but you cannot deny the lyricism! The Letters To God trilogy is SO good. Arsonist is fantastic as well.

I don't really know anything about this artist. Listened a couple times over the years but the controversy has Def meant I will give their new album a listen.

I feel like they still tryna portray her like a regular pop star.... No sweethearts she is not a basic pop star anymore. She already proved this with IICHLIWP. She has much more creativity than that. (My main genre is pop btw i love listening pop songs) But thank God, I can recognize creativity & passion in music when I hear it. I wasn't a huge Halsey fan before but with her last works, i'm completely in love with her imagination. Thank you so much Halsey for this album! Not a single skip in the damn album, I can listen to each song in a different mood. I can absolutely understand if someone didn't like the work but giving mean comments is another thing. This lady had to leave her partner cuz' she didn't receive emotional support & love while she was battling cancer at the most necessity time. She has a toddler. Main character syndrome? Hell yeah bitch, she is the main character. Try to create ANYTHING while you're down this bad and then we can talk.

Honestly the weird personal and ridiculous Pitchfork and Fantano reviews (I want to say they're misogynistic too but...is that "too much"? lol) are like good marketing for this album imo. I've been disconnected from music/new releases for a while and this made me want to get up to date.

Pitchfork and Fantano did her SO wrong. Jesus Christ. It's not even about their atrocious scores, but these assholes choose to just ignore all of the main themes on the album and call her suffering bullshit melodrama as if she's just using a tortured persona or whatever for her aesthetics. That's so ignorant and plain cruel. I don't know what the woman did to these people to trigger this unreasonable disdain and rage. And it's not like she wanted to replicatle exactly the style of all those artists, they were just an inspiration. I thought she made it clear. But I guess she's just not "cool enough" for them at the moment, so let's drag her down. What a shame.

halsey just released the album of the year, all songs are so good with a good handful really sticking out but the diversity in sound is what makes me so happy and pleased!!!
