For the double/triple PM received, it's known that the message system is old and obsolete, sometimes when you send a PM you get an error message but the message is correctly sent, so some users tend to send the same message again and again not knowing if their message was actually sent. Or you received group message and the sender didn't pay attention to whom it was send to, or it's spam...
