My first big “arena” concert was the Eagles at Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, NJ (greatest venue ever, look it up!) It was 1973 or 74, and the warm-up band was Boz Scaggs. We parked on the field a way back and were yakkin' and puffin' and guzzlin' when Boz came on. Sounded good to me, but the others were hyped on the Eagles, and this sounded way different. I went down front and caught a fantastic show! Something about this guy, and the people with him, just was a magic sound! A day I won't forget, oh, the Eagles were ok too!
