Rnb/singing groups are a dying art and kpop doesn't even take advantage of that. How are u gonna have 5+ members and none of them sing together/do harmonies? What's the point? When I listen to kpop groups I feel like there's some good voices, but the rest of the members have bad or boring voices. Usually the ones that don't sing are made into "rappers" but the raps are unnecessary or badly written. I found out pretty quickly that it's mainly SM groups that actually sing together so I happen to like them more. Older groups in general were better at singing and having voices that had chemistry

Are there any places to talk about random genres without inflicting intellectual degradation?

RateYourMusic has a good kpop niche, they mostly focus on the music there instead of the idols

This is the musical counterpart of non-degradable single use plastic packaging.

Every morning, I wake up, get out of my bed and punch an Asian person on the street, because Asian people remind me of kpop and I fucking hate kpop. When I go on social media, I see #JIMIN trending on twitter, and I must smash my phone into the floor and saw it in half because I fucking hate kpop. I have amassed $250k in debt as I have to buy a new phone every time this happens. Sometimes, I see people speaking not English in public. I must immediately body slam them, as though I do not know what language they are speaking there is a chance it is Korean and I hate Korean because I fucking hate kpop. Property value in my neighborhood has gone to shit because of the serial attacks in the area, but I do not care because I fucking hate kpop. I hate living in Korea.

Either alien looking or full of plastic No real yayoi’s can’t get into this industry tells how they are insecure of themselves and if not they’d get threatened by haters and they drive you into suicide. No wonder Korea is the Mecca of gaslighting. I wouldn’t call that intelligence and it’s nothing but cowardly.

No one is making you listen. I don’t care for the little bit of kpop that I’ve heard, but thankfully I can avoid it by listening to my music on Spotify. It’s not like it’s the 1990’s or early 2000’’s, when the only way to find out about new music was to listen to the radio or watch MTV, which played the same top 40 songs all the time, and if you didn’t like a certain song or genre that was popular, you were stuck hearing it all the time because there was no avoiding it.

ended american and uk pop. notice how nobody gives a damn about 99% of american or uk popstars anymore. most people who likes pop music migrated to kpop because in kpop the artists still give you the popstar stuff (dance, presence of stage, outfits, face, performance, well made choreography) that nowdays very few western pop artists can give, because they are lazy and don't take their craft serious enough

So you are expecting someone to like a genre just because they try listening to an artist at least once?

They're the first group I listened to and it was extremely disappointing to find that there's not many groups that are good as them
