Decreasing Adhesions and Bowel Obstructions Naturally
Tuesday, February 17, 2026
Time: 8:00 pm Eastern Time (7:00 pm CT, 6:00 pm MT, 5:00 pm PT)
Join us for the first Ostomy Academy Presentation of 2026! Our Speakers will be Belinda Wurn, PT and Larry Wurn, LMT – CEO of Clear Passage® Therapies, a non-surgical, drug-free therapy focuses on breaking down adhesions to restore pain-free function, and it has proven effective for conditions like infertility, bowel obstructions, and post-surgical pain.
Each of us has undergone one or more major invasive surgeries. Adhesions, powerful internal glue-like internal bonds, form as the first step in healing from surgery. In too many cases, these adhesions can narrow the bowel into strictures, internal straitjackets that prevent food from passing easily through our body. Besides restricting nutrition, the resulting small bowel obstruction (SBO) can be extremely painful or threaten life, sending patients to the hospital for days at a time.
Post-surgical adhesions are the primary cause of SBO. Bowel repair, often due to SBO is the 2nd most common emergency surgery in the U.S. Adhesion removal is the 5th most common. With each new surgery, even the surgical repair, new adhesions tend to form.
Two of our healthcare providers have spent decades of their lives studying adhesions and developing ways to decrease or eliminate them without surgery. At this session, you will learn about the structure of adhesions, the ways they form and how the Wurns learned to detach them without surgery. After participating in this exciting session, you will understand adhesions in ways that will one day be taught in medical school.
Combining a hands-on manual therapy with a patient-centered approach, Clear Passage’s methods are backed by peer-reviewed studies and endorsed by medical professionals.
Ostomy Academy is a free online educational seminar to bring trusted and comprehensive ostomy information to all members of the ostomy community. Top experts, medical professionals, and experienced ostomates will focus on a new series of quality of life topics in each presentation.

Larry Wurn’s lifelong fiancé, physical therapist Belinda Wurn, developed massive adhesions after surgery therapy. At age 33, her doctors told her to prepare for a life of severe pain, and dysfunction of multiple organs.
Her doctors said “The surgery caused glue-like adhesions to form in the organs of your abdomen and pelvis. Surgery to remove them will just create more. There is nothing we can do to help you,” they said.
Unwilling to accept a life of pain, narcotics, and dysfunction, the Wurns set out on a 40-year journey to develop a non-surgical approach to dissolve or remove adhesions. When they started seeing success, they were joined by the Chief of Staff of their hospital and several excited researchers. After decades of research and development, the team has published 18 studies in major medical journals showing the safety and effectiveness of their work.
Clear Passage strives to provide our patients with the finest hands-on therapy in the world. We team with each patient and focus 100 percent of our effort on each patient’s goals, in a professional but compassionate environment.
