I left the theater laughing, almost crying out of nostalgia and of course, amazed to the bone. I think they did an OUTSTANDING job in making the sequel after 30 something years! I don't know what do I have to start praising first! Maybe the stunning cast they managed to put on this film? Or maybe the amazing job they all did? The special effects guys definitely deserve an Oscar or something, they literally made ART here! The costumes, the lighting the ambiance everything carefully and beautifully developed in order to make you feel as everything you've ever wished in a Beetlejuice sequel! The 10 star rating is not enough, stop reading this go to the movies and have a blast ! πππ Peace y'all!
IMDB has become less and less trustworthy as years go by, this is a shame for the whole horror industry out there. Things like this should remain as little projects for lousy filmmakers who don't know how to thrill an audience. The whole movie plot was wrong, there was nothing scary about it, the characters were awful. If you read this, please don't waste an hour and a half of your life watching this piece of garbage, I really hated the ending which was nothing but dumb. I am done with this review, if you decide to go ahead and watch this thing then do it at your own risk, you've been warned, better go watch something else.
I'm surprised, for the last few years I've been close to be convinced about the fact that HORROR genre is outdated and dead.
Trust me on this one, if the greatest 2023 horror movie was supposedly gonna be the one of a ridiculous hand that drives you crazy, my faith was all gone.
Black Friday surprised me beyond ecxpectations, leaves us with a nice lesson of GOOD THINGS CAN STILL BE DONE !
The movie takes the slasher genre with the base formula from where it all stated back in the 90's. With a twist of using a holiday theme like Thanksgiving, using just the right ammount of criticism towards the consuming culture in America, without being overwhelming. This is definitely the good kind of black humor that a movie like this needs.
There was still one thing missing and therefore I can't give the 10 out of 10. We're missing the CHICKS man, you know, the typical hot blonde girl that has some spicy action with stunning takes of her body. They DID use the scene but it was very moderate and I wish I could've seen more of it.
