This animated short was a pleasure to my eye. The two main characters are cute little bear and hedgehog in cardboard. There's a lot of detail and a great atmosphere when they explore the cabin at the beginning. What's next after they dicover old blankets in a dusty box is a festival of wacky characters and strange situations, inspired by russian folk tales. The ending is just another touch of magic, heightened up by a great music.
Overall, I think it's a great, well-crafted animated short that brings wonder for all ages. I haven't seen a lot of ukrainian animation but this one makes me want to see more.

This taiwanese movie centers around a group of animals, living in a peaceful forest but suddenly threatened by hungry wolves.
Costumes, music and actors are okay. Taking place in wild nature adds to its charm. The plot is very thin and recycles many old folk stories. Some could say it's an anti-communist propaganda but I think it's just a innocent children movie.

This early hong-kongese action movie is about an Dirty Harry type inspector running after a psychopath killer. We see the point of view of both characters and it sometimes feels like the movie is more about the killer, who's lost his mother at a young age and was traumatized by her violent suicide.
The scenery of the city ils colourful, the action is fast (a murder scene is particularly violent) and the movie know when to slow its pace and install some character momentum : overall, I think it's worth a watch if you're into HK movies (why on earth does it have a rating of only 3.5 ?).
