Well no pun intended - it may not have been back then. But this short movie shows how difficult it is to do any journalism ... and how down society has become ... including powers to be that are tough to get to ... and held accountable to any standard.
This is about 20 minutes long, but I have to admit the director really made the most of it. It felt longer in a sense (not necessarily in a bad sense of course). This is hyper realistic ... almost as if documentary wise ... it is also slow burn .. something the director is really good at ... you've been warned - nothing escapes you (probably)

No pun intended - I wouldn't even say that it was intended in the movie like that. At least I did not hear anything to that matter during the audio commentary for the movie. I heard them talk about other stuff (like method acting ... as in drunk as can be).
This is as slow burn as it can be. But you do know that it can't stay that way all the way through ... exceptional acting (realism and all) ... and a chicken that keeps us on our toes ... being friendly is not always being kind ... well there is a lot here. Don't push me ... cause I'm close to the edge ... well I doubt our main character is really aware of all that. This was nominated a lot according to imdb ... and I can totally see that.

No pun intended - the term oxford year may mean something to you and the movie is leaning in on that. Obviously this is also quite the by the numbers romantic comedy. Well not meaning it is a bad one - just that it is quite predictable.
Hey sometimes you are happy to get exactly what you paid for - what you expect. Even more so when you have charismatic actors playing the roles as is the case here. Well done overall.
