I think the movie had a good start, with a scary mystery vibe and good acting. Then from nowhere something is revealed and I was thinking "what?". This plot reveal is illogical and I felt like the mystery was all gone. Now the story changed from something to something completely different.

After that it just escalated, and I also think the actors overplayed their characters a bit.

The main question is why the main character choose to tutor this specific teenager. Yes, they keep saying "we need the money" but that is very thin explanation.

The story is actually very simple and they try to make it complicated without success.

For being a Norwegian production this was pretty good.

The CGI was really good and acting was ok, maybe some clinches from American movies, but you can live with that. Most of production money was spent on CGI, that is for sure.

Story maybe was a bit weak, but I've got a feeling this was being a setup for a second movie and maybe they explore a little more of the lore. Maybe add some more fantasy element, who knows?

First part of the movie was weak, but it kept getting better and stick with it for an hour or so.

Be ready for Norwegian language in this movie, some parts where English but I had English subtitles on throughout the movie (even if I understand most Norwegian as a swede).

Certainly worth a watch imo if you like fantasy movies.
