I recommend watching this on shrooms and weed(vaping) like I just did in the crowded theater just now lol..Omg this is way more hilarious than the first film! I can't believe most people(uptight much?) don't get the humor of this film,Tim Burton's brilliant. Delia Deetz(Catherine O' Hara) is a riot here, and great to see Keaton back as Beetlejuice and doing comedy again. Willem Dafoe also put in a great performance. Maybe the only thing I found annoying is Astrid(Ortega),but towards the end I felt the chemistry between her and Lydia improved. It's amazing to see Beetlejuice on the screen again tho,and watching this while tripping is one of the funniest rides evar! I was laughin' and geekin' so hard in the IMAX 4D theater it was intense. Perfect Halloween movie too. Makes me wanna watch the first film now and search for the cartoons. Also if you downvote on this review it must mean you have a stick up yer ass!
This has to be hands down my favorite Wolverine movie so far! He is so perfect in this. As someone who reads the actual comics too, this one is sure a treat. I did not like the first 30 minutes of it though. I thought it was very cringe the first half, that is until Wolverine(Hugh jackman) shows up midway through it,and somehow the film starts to pick itself up from there. This is everything I love about Wolverine and they finally get his character right, even down to the classic yellow costume which I thought the first X-Men film was lacking. I could watch a swearing, heavy drinking Wolvie all night lol Gawd is he so damn fine(hot) in this too. Wow what a perfect body! Hugh is also like the Clint Eastwood of this generation, which is perfect because I always felt a young Clint can pulloff the Logan character. Deadpool on the other hand I didn't care much for. Then again I never liked him much in the comics either. Maybe the only things that bug me are the levels of gore which is too much for my taste(this has to be the most violent superhero movie so far! Thus I wouldn't eat while watching this one.) ,and it seems like it kinda rips off(or makes fun of?) The Flash movie from last year. The showdown with Cassandra Nova was oddly similar to the showdown with General Zod in the Flash. Right down to the mindblowing superhero cameos. The use of alternate timelines also felt similar to the Flash. The thing that really makes this movie is Wolverine(Hugh Jackman) imo. If he wasn't in it,it would really suck...Reason why I avoided the Dark Phoenix film is because Wolverine is not in it. Hugh even throws in a little dramatic acting in this amidst the zany comedy. This maybe the Superman III of X-men movies, but then again Wolverine is quite funny in the comics and does drink alot and say "Bub" too..The only thing missing was a cigar but other than that I think I enjoyed this. Alot of things in this movie also that only people who read the comics will understand. Such as the reference to the Uncanny X-men #251 cover art. I might watch it again just for certain scenes. The cameos in it are mindblowing...Alot of Shaun of the Dead vibes from this too,and if you downvote on this review it must mean you got a big stick up yer ass, herp derp.
I really enjoyed this new Ghostbusters film! Unlike some people,I actually like this better than Afterlife!! I don't dislike the Spengler family, but Afterlife felt like a really long boring episode of Stranger Things with GB elements. This feels like a real Ghostbusters movie to me,and it's got an entirely brand new villain. It has cheesy elements that reminded me of Answer the Call though. The Indian guy is sort of annoying and felt unnecessary though. Replace him with Dana Barrett or Louis Tully or even Holtzmann coming through to lend a hand on the ghostbusting, and this movie would be perfect. Heck even any of the characters from Filmation Ghostbusters would have been better than that guy. I did like Podcast in this movie more too. Wished it went a little bit longer and Venkman should have had more dialogue, but I felt goosebumps when he and Walter Peck were on the same screen together. Atherton looking a bit like Vincent Price in his old age. Funny there were vape shop reference too as I was vaping the whole time while watching in the theater lol. Slimer was awesum, and also time to bring back Ecto Cooler. If you downvote on this you're just a herp derpin ahole square and I don't care cuz I'm definitely gonna watch this again 2 more times! Oh and Ernie Hudson will be appearing on my radio show soon, really excited about that.
