  • Good wild fun!

Ok, this wasn't the "end-all" musical some folks wanted, but I think it was great fun with these ultra-famous stars. There will never be a grouping of iconic stars like these women, so just enjoy it as the colorful event it is. The constant gay references/characters are maybe meant by the screenwriter bringing attention to her family and upbringing. There's a hint of truth regarding each character here, and Kudos to Carrie Fisher! Maybe the most noticeable flaws could be Elizabeth Taylor only seen from the bust-up and poor make-up issues with the deallocate of Shirley Maclaine and her arms. Yeah, that was too noticeable. Costuming, set design and etc was all well planned. Oh, the music? It was meant to be "high camp" and obviously appeal to gays!

All in all, a fun, campy made-for-tv type movie!

  • Could be so much more enjoyable!

I'm terribly disappointed with the trashy dialog and sexual innuendos. The actors do extremely well under some poor conditions though. Some comedy is lost due to an extremely fast delivery, but it must be due to the poor direction. I'd like to see an episode where everyone slows down just a bit and allows the audience to enjoy some quality comedy!Maybe adding some dialog with a little bit of pathos could be warranted, huh? In a quality sit-com, the audience is allowed to breathe between some fun lines, and this show doesn't allow this feature. I wish the very best for Two Broke Girls, but the actors aren't to blame for it's demise. It's the director's fault, pure and simple.

  • Classic comedy updated...

This is a 21st century version of a classic screwball comedy, but with Owen Wilson showing his near-naked body. So what. There's a scene where Dupree is mouthing along with the movie 'Sabrina', and it's one of the finest emotional close-ups of any star I can recall. Wilson knew exactly what he was doing in this scene; Appealing to women in the audience with his gentleness. (OK, toward some men too.) This is an actor's mastery. The supporting cast is mighty fine in my opinion, and Kate Hudson is at her most gorgeous, and her sweet manner is a fine compliment to Owen Wilson's Dupree character. I have one negative to state here, and it's the 'over-the-top' ending. It could have been simpler and possibly have saved the film. Owen Wilson is a genius before the camera, and that's why I like this film so much.
