I have always loved you Rock. Always have, always will! Roy. Mr Beefcake!
You are not James Dean or Marlon Brando, you are Rock Hudson. An American original. One of a kind. Greatest among greats. And there is no real competition in acting. It is art. If you are part of it that is more than enough. If you have it, you have it! Acting was never about talent, good looks, ambition, persistence, connections, charm. It is a combination of all of those things, but most importantly - it is about channeling your deepest desires. Some people learn to do it, the most remarkable ones are born to do it. Natural performers.
Gay, straight, man, woman, doesn't matter. Live your life to the fullest, enjoy yourself and don't think too much about what other people say. Or think. That is the ultimate message of this documentary.
Be free! Be...a Giant!

If this movie isn't a perfect 10, I don't know which is!?
It has everything.
A love story, mystery, horror, action scenes.
Nature scenes, whether is raining, snowing, night or day are remarkable.
Rich visual style - camera work and editing are flawless, engaging acting with interesting characters and backed up by moody yet powerful score creates an atmosphere that is absolutely unforgettable.
Cassel and Bellucci are always a powerhouse, Dequenne is a treat and Samuel Le Bihan as Grégoire de Fronsac is a perfect leading man/hero, but Mark Dacascos stills the whole show with his mere presence.
Holds up? You bet!
I saw this movie when it came out back in 2001 and now after more than 20 years it is still a masterpiece.
I guess art is art, no matter the age.
Definitely one of France finest pictures.

First of all, lets start by saying that Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a perfect action movie.
Eve came out the same year and actually 6 months before Cameron's masterpiece.
Its a amusing concept with solid performances all over, but it was poorly executed. It still doesn't deserve the low rating. Renée is wonderful, its her show and the movie is very entertaining. The iconic outfit our villainess wears is unforgettable.
Gregory Hines is miscast, the young director Gibbins makes some interesting choices, and overall big actions scenes are very well done. Especially the final.
The movie works. It is certainly not the best picture, but it is without a doubt better than your average TV yarn.
