  • Best I've seen since the Unforgiven

Every movie has some flaws in it, but Kevin Costner did a really good job of putting the audience back in 1888. Beautifully filmed with some good dialog enhance an age old story of landowners vs. squatters. Let the violence ensue. Well worth the time and money.

  • Oh My God!

I know John Derek made some awful movies, but how the heck did they get Humphrey Bogart to make this thing? This makes my top 25 worst movies of all times. If it weren't for Bogart's appearance it would have been a total loss. The writing is corny and the actors don't even do that justice.

This movie is a technical Mess. The opening scene shows the villain holding a modern fragmentation grenade and two minutes later it turns into a WWII vintage "Pineapple". They must have shot these two scenes months apart and obviously they lost the original prop. The doctor doing the autopsy pulls a "slug" from the body and states, "Another shell is found in the lower spine". That would be the first time a bullet "casing" ever caused a mortal wound. How did they use for a technical consultant on this movie, some 22 year old Vassar graduate?
