TV MX, the most powerful Mexican Television Corporation, discloses a scandalous story involving Governor Carmelo Vargas in serious crimes and illicit business. Worried about his political future, Governor Vargas decides to clean his image and negotiates a billionaire secret agreement with the owners of the TV Corporation. Carlos Rojo, an ambitious young news producer, and Ricardo Diaz, TV network star reporter, are responsible for making a dirty campaign to change the image the public has of the corrupt Governor and make him, at any cost, a political star and a great presidential candidate. Mexican Television believes that democracy is a farce and has already placed one President - Will they do it again?

absolute must-watch

Even to realistic to call it a satire every latino person MUST watch this movie, and it should be watched in college in a lot of scenes you want to laugh out loud, but the same second you get stuck because of the reality that this movie shows you

A good satire on Mexican politics

This movie is a good example of the problems that exist in Mexico today; the plot is good, the actors are excellent and there is a good use of satire; it is good to see that good cinema is being made in Mexico.

The mirror of latinamerican governments!

I can't explain how I felt while watching the movie. Every single detail is so real that hurts. I could simply replace the names of the characters by the names or real politicians. Our countries in South America are experiencing everything that is portraited in the movie. This satire is amazing and at the same time painful to watch. Worth watching!

Trivia
Televisa, Mexico's prime television network, supported the film early in production, but when they realized the criticism it made of it, withdrew its support. It was rumored that the actors were warned that if they appeared in the movie, they would be banned from the network. Televisa later denied these allegations.
