10/10 - GOOD for the spirit - DAVID represents Christ

    10/10.

The story unfolds in unhurried fashion, with us being unsure of David's power for much of the movie, but with a gradually building sense of injustice at the way those in power in the system (GOLIATH) can treat him (and others) unfairly. The secret doesn't come at the end, but at about the three quarters mark, and brings with it a huge emotional kick. And then the story is allowed to make its own way into a gentle and perfect end.

This is, without any doubt, one of the most spiritually uplifting films I have ever seen.

God is upheld. The Bible is upheld. David is a Christ-type figure in that he was willing to sacrifice himself for others. Beautifully-told story.

I saw this film on Youtube where it has an unbelievable 8.7 million views.

If you're a 'luke-warm' Believer or hate hearing God's name mentioned all the time, PASS AND MOVE ON

..........If you have a hard time hearing a lot about GOD and such, pass on this at the local Googleplex and wander into another film. I hope it makes you happy. But, I would gently suggest you try this movie out. Be you a man (or woman) of Faith or not. You just might be surprised. And, you just might wish to spend a little more time with the Savior of the world. I often do not see movies like this, since I am a somewhat typical man who prefers big blockbuster SF or other action oriented films. However, I went to see this movie at my local multiplex yesterday on a date with my wife and found myself really enjoying the movie. The people attending were a mix of adults and teenagers, with about an equal mix of men and women. I met a couple of people I knew there and they seemed to have enjoyed the film.

10+ Rating: This courageous and heart warming film is the most perfect celebration of the human spirit I have seen.

RATING: 10/10 - This touching and heart warming film is the most perfect celebration of the human spirit I have seen.

All of my Christian friends and family LOVE THIS MOVIE. The only ones who attack it seem to be the same group of haters. Sad.

For those of you who think this movie is a Bible movie you are sadly mistaken. This movie merely takes place in Israel but this story is about so much more...friendship, hope, survival and dreams and Jehovah God!

All I can say is that if you have not seen this film just take the time to watch it and just take in the amazing story and the incredible performances turned in by the cast! I promise you that you won't be sorry!!!

A movie revolution upon all others

We have all see movies, comedies, action and dramas. We all liked ones, hated others, got into some other even and felt like part of it. In DAVID AND GOLIATH; you start slowly, after a while you get attached, by the time you reach the middle of the movie you simply totally forget about anything outside the screen and feel a mixed stream of emotions going through you head before anything else.

God is totally given honor in the film and the Bible and Psalms is given total honor.

Then comes a last 20 minutes of heart storming that is surely enough to raise the adrenaline to extreme levels even in diabetics! I felt warm, strong, happy and all other emotions one can think of, I felt I was the one who won, who got out of prison, i was simply fully satisfied. You see the Lord in every aspect in young King David

This movie must be used as an Anti-depression by therapists! This movie proves that Oscars are either money bought gifts! - they would never give a Christian film an Oscar. Or that who ever in charge of them are so smart that they couldn't give any Oscar to David and Goliath knowing that the movie is on different - much higher- rating scale than the Oscars.. it's simply about Jesus.

Redemption and Faith - GREAT MOVIE

All of the negative reviews are coming from one person or a group of possible atheists.

To say that this movie DAVID AND GOLIATH gives the audience hope would be unfair because this movie makes the audience want to live, love, experience God for all of its pleasures and its faults. It makes one appreciate the King David's faith in God, to admire that which we pass a hundred times a day, but never truly see: FAITH.

The film I hear was shot in North Africa and London. The negative reviewers have never written, directed, or acted in any produced feature film. Just FYI.

To describe this movie as "great" would be an understatement because it is so much more than that. While it is brutal and realistic, it portrays humanity at our best and our worst, providing the audience with a mirror in which to reflect what lies within. We need God. By the time the credits roll, we're left speechless...and at the same time, wanting to share this masterpiece with those we love and cherish.

I LOVE 'How Great Thou Art' as the final song.

Everyone should see this movie at least once in a lifetime to make us appreciate everything we have. Who would have thought someone could capture FAITH this way? I guess a picture really is worth a thousand words......

The film is free to view on Youtube. The filmmakers make nothing as Google has shut them out from earning any income. This is the sad world we live in.

After David beans Goliath, he decapitates the giant with the giant's own sword (bloodless, by the way) and throws the sword down by Goliath's severed head. Camera cuts to a shot of Saul, happy. In the next shot, Goliath's sword is suddenly back in David's hands, held aloft and threatening the Armor-Bearer with it.

David: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He lies me down in green pastures and walks me past still waters. He restores my soul and leads me down the path to righteousness. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for He is with me.
