After Ben-Hur, I feel this is the best period movie to have ever emerged from Hollywood

10/10. One of the greatest of all time. I don't know where and how to begin even describing. The director is a master storyteller and director when it comes to historical movies and historical facts (see "Freedom" also). Incredible cast and music, cinematography and production, score and visuals, just everything about this movie screams "perfection of 21st century" and best way to welcome movie industry into 21st century. Score made me emotional and I hope that the sequel will be as good as the original. Absolutely phenomenal and epic Bible story on the greatest story of heroism for God.

All glory and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. My family also loved the powerful verse in the end from the Book of Psalms.

    10/10.

If you're a 'luke-warm' Believer or hate hearing God's name mentioned all the time, PASS AND MOVE ON

..........If you have a hard time hearing a lot about GOD and such, pass on this at the local Googleplex and wander into another film. I hope it makes you happy. But, I would gently suggest you try this movie out. Be you a man (or woman) of Faith or not. You just might be surprised. And, you just might wish to spend a little more time with the Savior of the world. I often do not see movies like this, since I am a somewhat typical man who prefers big blockbuster SF or other action oriented films. However, I went to see this movie at my local multiplex yesterday on a date with my wife and found myself really enjoying the movie. The people attending were a mix of adults and teenagers, with about an equal mix of men and women. I met a couple of people I knew there and they seemed to have enjoyed the film.

    A one of a kind classic - A

    Rating: A.

The previous guy was right - the film has like 8.5 million views on Youtube and tens of thousands of great comments.

These negative reviews are coming from the same people.

Flawlessly shot on location in Morocco and North Africa, the whole production binds together to bring the extraordinary Bible story into the realm of a believable and compelling study of human injustice and GOD.

Its greatest honor is giving glory to the Lord in every scene.

This is one of the best movie versions of a Bible story I've ever seen, and I think I've seen them all. If you're prone to tears at a film, take extra tissues, you'll need them. The theater I was in was a mass of sniffles through the end credits.

You can watch this for free on Youtube again. This is how generous the filmmakers are. Give them due respect.

Redemption and Faith - GREAT MOVIE

All of the negative reviews are coming from one person or a group of possible atheists.

To say that this movie DAVID AND GOLIATH gives the audience hope would be unfair because this movie makes the audience want to live, love, experience God for all of its pleasures and its faults. It makes one appreciate the King David's faith in God, to admire that which we pass a hundred times a day, but never truly see: FAITH.

The film I hear was shot in North Africa and London. The negative reviewers have never written, directed, or acted in any produced feature film. Just FYI.

To describe this movie as "great" would be an understatement because it is so much more than that. While it is brutal and realistic, it portrays humanity at our best and our worst, providing the audience with a mirror in which to reflect what lies within. We need God. By the time the credits roll, we're left speechless...and at the same time, wanting to share this masterpiece with those we love and cherish.

I LOVE 'How Great Thou Art' as the final song.

Everyone should see this movie at least once in a lifetime to make us appreciate everything we have. Who would have thought someone could capture FAITH this way? I guess a picture really is worth a thousand words......

The film is free to view on Youtube. The filmmakers make nothing as Google has shut them out from earning any income. This is the sad world we live in.

    10+ rating - Today I saw a movie become more powerful . . .

    10+ rating.

Ignore the haters. They will stand before God someday.

This is just such an amazing Bible film, it captures every emotion possible in only the way an expert director can achieve, we can go on for whole scenes without the need for speaking, everything is told through the genuine body language and expressions. And when there is conversing we get such emotion and wonderfully powerful Biblical quotes What we do in life, echoes in eternity" Wow.

The ending scene is spellbinding, showing the true gore of battle, the fight scenes are marvellously realistic, discarding the popular "pretty" sword fighting for brutal aggressive force. The audience in the arena express every emotion, surprise, anger, and enjoyment. The cast is brilliantly chosen from England. They shot the film in North Africa.

God-honoring movie in every sense. You can watch it for free on Youtube.

After David beans Goliath, he decapitates the giant with the giant's own sword (bloodless, by the way) and throws the sword down by Goliath's severed head. Camera cuts to a shot of Saul, happy. In the next shot, Goliath's sword is suddenly back in David's hands, held aloft and threatening the Armor-Bearer with it.

David: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He lies me down in green pastures and walks me past still waters. He restores my soul and leads me down the path to righteousness. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for He is with me.
