Disney+ is giving fans a first look at its much-anticipated martial arts adventure.

The streamer released a jam-packed action-filled 30 second tv spot for “American Born Chinese” on Sunday, revealing an epic fantasy adventure.

Tyler Sanders, the 18-year-old star of Amazon’s Just Add Magic: Mystery City who was found dead in June at his Los Angeles home, died from the effects of fentanyl, the L.A. County Medical Examiner-Coroner has revealed. The coroner said his death was accidental.

The coroner’s report did not find any other causes of death and no other significant conditions during its investigation. It has labeled Sanders’ case closed.

Tyler Sanders, who played Logan Hawke on ABC’s “The Rookie” and Leo on “Just Add Magic: Mystery City,” died “from the effects of fentanyl,” according to an autopsy report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The report listed his death as accidental. He was found dead on June 16 at his home in Los Angeles.

According to the full report, which was obtained by TMZ, Tyler texted a friend the night before his death that he was using fentanyl and did not reply to the friend’s phone calls after sending the text.

Sanders also appeared in an episode of “Fear the Walking Dead” as young Jake Otto and on Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star.” He received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his role in the “Just Add Magic”spinoff.

He also appeared in the 2019 Kevin Sorbo film “The Reliant.”

Tyler Sanders, a teen actor who received an Emmy nomination for his performance in the Prime Video series “Just Add Magic: Mystery City,” died Thursday in Los Angeles, his representative confirmed to Variety. He was 18.

A cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Sanders started acting at 10 years old, starring in several short films. He booked his first major TV role in 2017, when he guest-starred as the young version of main character Sam Underwood in an episode of “Fear the Walking Dead” on AMC. Other guest spots on television include an episode of “The Rookie” in 2018 and an episode of “9-1-1: Lone Star” that aired on April 18, his final credit before his death.

Kimee Balmilero, Tess Paras and Jason Rogel have been added to the series, which stars Koy as Jo, a divorced Filipino American father navigating dating, his career as a nurse and his complicated relationship with his mother.

Balmilero will play Geraldine, Koy’s married sister who runs a Filipino restaurant with her white husband. Paras plays Cheryl, Jo’s ex-wife and mother to his son Miles. Rogel plays Will, a pharmacist and Jo’s childhood best friend.

Bill Lawrence’s “Head of the Class” reboot has been picked up to series at HBO Max, the streamer announced Wednesday.

The half-hour multi-camera comedy is an adaptation of the ABC comedy that ran for five seasons in the 1980s. It centers on a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge — a teacher, Alicia Adams (“One Day at a Time” star Isabella Gomez), who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life.

Jorge Diaz, Jolie Hoang Rappaport, Gavin Lewis, Dior Goodjohn, Brandon Severs (“Diary of a Future President”), Adrian Matthew Escalona and Katie Beth Hall also star.

Mira Furlan, best known for her roles as Minbari Ambassador Delenn on Babylon 5 and Danielle Rousseau on Lost, has died at the age of 65.

Furlan died of undisclosed causes on Wednesday. Her death was confirmed the following evening on Twitter. Shortly thereafter, Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski shared a touching tribute.

Actress Mira Furlan, who played Minbari Ambassador Delenn on the sci-fi drama series Babylon 5, passed away Jan. 20. She was 65.

Furlan’s death was announced by her official Twitter account and confirmed by Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski, who paid tribute to the accomplished actress.

“It is a night of great sadness, for our friend and comrade had gone down the road where we cannot reach her,” he wrote. “Mira was a good and kind woman, a stunningly talented performer and a friend to everyone in the cast and crew of Babylon 5, and we are all devastated by the news.

Born in the Croatian capital Zagreb in 1955, Furlan was a well known, award-winning theater, film and TV actress in the former Yugoslavia. She starred in numerous plays, TV series and films, including Emir Kusturica’s Palm d’Or-winning and Oscar-nominated 1985 film When Father Was Away On Business.

ViacomCBS’ 2021 Showcase is going virtual this year — and they have set the producing team for the annual event that highlights diverse talent in the industry. ABC is developing a single-cam comedy from two former “Single Parents” writers.

The project is titled “Happy for You.” Taylor Cox is attached to write while Kim Rosenstock will serve as executive producer. The network has given the project a script commitment with a penalty attached. 20th Television, where Rosenstock is currently under an overall deal, will serve as the studio. News of the development comes as ABC is increasingly looking for female-focused content, like it’s upcoming comedy series “Call Your Mother” and the drama “Big Sky.”

In the series, when the youngest of three sisters announces she’s getting married first, it sends her older, unmarried sisters — and their newly separated mother — into an existential tailspin. Exclusive: Glow star Kimmy Gatewood and Parks and Recreation actress Alison Becker have sold their comedy script, Girlworld, to Amazon Studios. The pic, described as a rowdy and surreal feminist comedy that takes place in an alternate universe, is being produced by Ben Stiller and Nicholas Weinstock’s Red Hour Films.

Gatewood and Becker developed the screenplay with Weinstock. The screenwriting duo met while performing comedy in New York City, where they honed their brand of comedy that tackles modern feminist issues. They have several projects in development, all comedies with a social commentary bend.

Gatewood recurs as Stacey Beswick (a.k.a Ozone) on Netflix’s professional female wrestling comedy Glow, which is returning for a fourth and final season. ABC’s venerable soap General Hospital leads all shows and CBS and Amazon Prime Video top all networks in nominations for the 47th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which were unveiled Thursday. Winners will be revealed June 26 during a live virtual ceremony on CBS, returning the awards show to broadcast primetime for the first time since 2011.

General Hospital scored a total of 23 noms, edging rivals NBC’s Days of Our Lives (22 noms) and CBS’ Young and the Restless (21) and The Bold and the Beautiful (13). The digital soaps followed, led by Netflix’s Eastsiders and Amazon Prime’s Studio City both with eight noms apiece.

All four broadcast soaps are up for the top drama series honor, while Eastsiders and Studio City are joined by Amazon Prime’s After Forever, The Bay The Series and Dark/Web in the top digital drama race.

Amazon has been making strides as a major streaming platform for a couple of years now. But the business has been turned upside down and streaming giants are being forced to rethink their strategies with respect to how they offer their programming. Now Amazon has announced that it will provide free streaming access to more than 40 children's shows, some of which are original series, to worldwide customers.

In the past, the streaming content would be hidden behind a paywall, only accessible to Prime Video customers, which not every potential viewer is in a position to buy a subscription for. But with more and more families staying cooped up, with dwindling funds and children desperate for any kind of distraction, Amazon has freed up a lot of its kid-friendly programming as a gesture of goodwill.

ABC has given a pilot order to drama Wreckage, about plane crash survivors, from writer Jacquie Walters (Big Shot), Marc Webb and his Black Lamb Productions, Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly’s Timberman-Beverly Prods., and ABC Studios, where Webb and Timberman-Beverly are under deals.

ABC has ordered a drama pilot based on the book “Wreckage” by Emily Bleeker.

For the past 15 years, the CBS Showcase has been giving shine to up and coming talent in Hollywood. As the title of the yearly event entails, it gives the chance for performers to showcase their acting chops in a comedic space. It’s a fast-paced comedy variety show echoing Saturday Night Live with a hearty helping of musical elements. Last week, the tradition continued as 20 players took the stage at the El Portal in North Hollywood for the yearly CBS Diversity Showcase — but diversity wasn’t always the focus of the showcase.

Tess Paras, who served as director of this year’s show alongside director Stephen Guarino and head writer Tien Tran, was a performer in the 2014 CBS Showcase. She admits that it was once widely known for being problematic and stereotypical in the way it portrayed its performers.

“That was the norm back then and it remained unchallenged,” Paras tells Deadline.

Amazon Prime Video is out with its list of everything new coming to the streaming service in January 2020.

New Prime Original, “Troop Zero,” is out Jan. 17. It stars Viola Davis and Allison Janney and “tells the story of a misfit girl dreaming of life in outer space but living in rural 1977 Georgia. When a national competition offers her a chance at her dream, to be recorded on Nasa’s Golden Record, she recruits a makeshift troop of Birdie Scouts, forging friendships that last a lifetime and beyond,” according to Amazon.

Other Prime Originals include the five-part docuseries “Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer,” out Jan. 31, and new standup special “Ilana Glazer: The Planet is Burning,” out Jan. 3.

As the new year begins, Amazon Prime Video is keeping with the tradition of “out with the old and in with the new.” The streaming service will ring in the new decade with a few original series premieres, including “James May: Our Man in Japan,” “Just Add Magic: Mystery City,” “All or Nothing: Cbf” and “Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer.”

Additionally, the streamer seems to be amping up its stand-up comedy slate with specials from Ilana Glazer, British comedian Jayde Adams, Russell Peters and Rob Delaney. Classic titles like “Star Trek” and “The Goonies” round off the wide-ranging list.

CBS has named the creative and writing team that will lead the studio’s actors showcase in 2020, formerly known as the CBS Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase. The event, intended to highlight diverse talent, is attended by senior CBS network execs, showrunners and casting directors on CBS series, as well as talent agents and managers.

Returning to direct Showcase, as it is now known, is Stephen Guarino, an actor-writer-director known for “EastSiders” and “I’m Dying Up Here,” while Tess Paras is joining as associate director. Tien Tran, who has appeared on “Easy” and “Hot Date,” will serve as head writer of the writers’ room of 11. Guarino, Paras and Tran are all Showcase alum.
