Another fine clip by the duo Lennon/Peckinpah

Along with "Too Late for Goodbyes", both Julian Lennon songs which the promotional videos were directed by the great poet of violence Mr. Sam Peckinpah, his very last efforts behind cameras. Nothing much happens, it's the tyical routine of presenting the artist, exposing the song without distracting audiences with small plots or big budgets spectacles.

Lennon sings behind his piano inside a recording studio, shown through four or five angles that go on repeat; and in the background corner producer Phil Ramone observes Lennon's performance, just a quiet judgment. The enthusiasm and the rhythm of "Too Late...", a power ballad, is not repeated in this calm song, though it has a beautiful harmony, a beautiful melody. It's good but far from catchy, a small hit I must say. As for what Mr. Peckinpah does is simply following a conventional act that basically most artists do in terms of music video. Simple and safe areas of capturing a performance. It's all good. 7/10.
