Paranormal Demons

This project could have been tolerable if not for the needless and over-used "camera flicker" effect throughout the movie. That effect was so distracting that it ruined what could have been at least tolerable action scenes. While this was clearly a low-budget project, it did at least show the "students" trying to actually FIGHT the evil monster/killer. That was refreshing. Without the unnecessary camera flicker, this movie could have been at least a 5, which is respectable. All the cliches are there, but if you watch a movie like this you expect that.

The key to this no-budget no-thrills found footage movie is that you can never see any of the action. the crew behind this movie apparently discovered a glitch effect that can block out select parts of the screen, so theres no monster - just a vague shape and some quick cut shots. some blood spatter on the camera lens is another clever blur tool. also clever is the way the plot centers around debunking paranormal internet videos. if this was done well, with an actual script and actors, itd be slow-clap worthy. as it stands, its a predictably disappointing and painful watch. stay away, especially if youve ever used a functional video camera

Stop me if you've heard this one...a group of young people travel to a haunted location to try and prove/disprove the presence of paranormal activity and things don't go according to plan. This is easily the most played out setup of horror movies today and this one doesn't do anything new or different at all.

Everything about this film is very subpar. The acting, cinematography, sound, effects, and overall direction are quite bad to put it nicely. I really have nothing positive to say about this outing and it is just a disaster.

You've already seen the better versions of this movie and there's no need to watch this one. I understand that these films are easy to create but come on, this is getting old. I have watched so many of these movies in the past decade and I just can't do it anymore. I really like cheesy horror movies but seriously...do something different. How this movie has such a high score, I do not know. 2/10

While I was watching this I started to keep a list of the problems I could see an easy fix for but the list became so long that I realized it was just the frame of the movie that I was taken with. That frame is: Five film-making students in Berlin go to a castle that had been converted to a satellite experimental-type hospital for the nazis to use on the inmates of a nearby concentration camp. This is a found footage movie with drones. As the ominous, aerial POV shot is one of my personal near-necessary tropes I found this effect to be dazzling. Then the shortcomings started to overcome the movie; so I'm going to leave it at a slight pan. Slight because I do like the movie, just FIX IT. F'rinstance, there was not enough blood or damage in general to the ones caught by the demon. When Steve? was attacked by the demon, instead of just using his light halo on the ground as the visual (from his headlamp) his lower body should have been visible within the light halo, from the lamp being displaced, and he should have been much more mutilated than he was visually represented, because audibly he WAS more mutilated and that way the two representations could have jibed.

I don't even know where to start. This film is possibly the worst film I have ever seen. Avoid at all cost. Maybe watch a some paint getting dry. This will be more thrilling and fun than watching this miserable attempt of making a movie. The director failed at simply everything!! You don't believe me? Watch for yourself. But don't say I didn't warn you. You will have more fun with your next dentist appointment as with this movie!!
