This is a somewhat depressing short film about a young woman living with-who I assume is-her verbally abusive mother. She gets a modeling contract but hasn't told the agency everything about herself, and soon has to face consequences that closely mirror what she experiences at home.
The film is beautifully shot, but it takes a dark turn in portraying how cruel the beauty and modeling world can be. Sadly, we hear plenty of real-life stories these days about the abuse and pressure models face at work, and this short film begins to feel more like a documentary than fiction.
Interestingly, the only person who ever faces the camera is the model, the main character. We either see the backs of the other characters' heads or nothing of them at all. It's a clever way to keep the focus squarely on her.
