Going Deep with David Rees

David has an interesting sense of humor. He is really funny. In each episode you learn things that you didn't expect. He presents it in such a way that you are truly entertained. The episode that prompted me to write this review was How to make an airplane. He takes you to NASA. There you meet this guy who is a champion paper airplane builder that actually works for NASA. He shows you how to build a paper airplane that will fly farther than you thought was possible. You got to watch it. I loved it.

Oh, and How To Dig a Hole. This episode was really funny. I bet you thought digging a hole was a easy. For any of us that has dug a hole and encountered problems, this episode is a HOOT! I hope this show stays on the air. My daughter and I enjoy it very much.

And all at the same time. I have done some internet research, I'm not sure exactly where David Rees came from, but he is one naturally hilarious guy. Each week he researches a subject of interest to kids and adults alike, usually something that you feel going in is fairly easy to explain. He "goes deep" on the subject and turns up stuff you never would have guessed from experts on the topic. Rees' style is goofy and sharp all at the same time, something which may get old on us viewers in the long run but sure works for the moment. Kudos to National Geographic for throwing this out there, it is currently #1 on the hit parade with my 13 and 9 year olds and pretty high up there for me too. Highly recommended for adults and kids alike.
