Only French can pull this story off...

This is a story I can't imagine any American producer can come close to making. OK, it sounds too much coincidental and incredulous but this is a movie, not a true life story. Besides, it also shows that an interesting story can easily cut itself some slack to be incredulous at times. Indeed, the movie opens with some dull scenes which shows a judge interrogating a young woman in an heated manner. Then, follows her personal life, the coincidental role of the woman in her family life, her husband's involvement, etc. Even the sour-turning-benevolent act of the husband fails to ignite the movie until the fateful cruise trip. Indeed, the flow of the events following the trip sort of becomes predictable but that doesn't make the story less interesting. And, no it doesn't conclude with an open ending as much as it seems so.
