The delicate freshness is the basic virtue of this short film. Two friends in the last year of high school. The feelings of one of them. The answer of the other. And the Portuguese as good tool not only for comunication but as ingredient for the veil-atmosphere. A departure and high emotion. A change and the traits of the long friendship. New pespectives and a radical option. And the soft-sweet end.
Firstly the two leads. They looked young but were perhaps a bit older than the ages they were playing. Nonetheless, I don't believe that they could have had any prior professional experience of acting. They were pretty dire.
Then the plot. Lucas's reaction to Caio's departure was over the top and not really appropriate. In the end, we knew from the title that there would be a true love story and this was the only part of the film that was delicately handled.
Finally the ending. OK, I know there couldn't have been much of a budget for this but the event that led Lucas to be lying in the road as we had seen in the first frames of the film was not convincingly filmed. Then the awakening; Caio was meant to have gone through security already. I really don't know what this muddled nonsense was all about.
I can't recommend this in the slightest.
