I almost made the mistake of writing this show off as another frivolous entry into reality television, thankfully I was wrong.

This show manages to capture something missing in America these days - hope. Barwis preaches his method of strength training to all those who want to put in the hard work and fight for their future.

The production of the show does a great job of getting you to root for athletes who have everything on the line and are only one injury away from the end of their professional career.

With well known professional athletes highlighting each episode, American Muscle does not disappoint. You get candid interviews that reveal on a personal level what drives and motivates these athletes to succeed.

How good is a show that can make my negative opinion of Richard Sherman do a complete 180 degree turn? I would be angry too, being that good and having 21 other inferior corner backs drafted before me. If Richard Sherman wants anyone to change their mind about him, just tell them to watch this show.

If you have any interest in working out and love sports, there is no better show than American Muscle - it is surprisingly good.
