This is a fantastic game for kids who are bored and just want to try and enhance their creativity. Super Mario Maker works your mind out, creating levels in a fun way. I am a writer and I think that this is a nice game to help me lift my creativity spirit and let me work my mind out more. So, this is pretty important to me and I can't wait to buy this game. (I rented it from the library and after I came from Summer camp and played around with the maker and played other peoples' levels, I got addicted and wouldn't stop playing).
I think it's an entertaining Wii U game and I think kids of all ages will enjoy a cool Mario game where you can make your own levels. I think it would be awesome to try with friends!

Levels in Mario games are always pretty awesome, but what if players could create their own levels? That's the idea behind Super Mario Maker. Is this a game that sticks around just for nostalgia? Perhaps. Games like this depend a lot on the players and how they are going to keep the game standing, but every detail of the game itself is the responsibility of the company, and Nintendo does it very well. In Super Mario Maker you can create stages in the style of Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros or any other game in the franchise. Level development is very well done and players take full advantage of it.
Super Mario Maker is what it says on the box. The easy to use tools all work well, but I am not a game designer and relied on the highlighted community levels. Most only proved to be experiments in what one can create with the tools. These and the single player mode, in which short and easy levels are randomly configured in a set of 8, won't replace a "real" Mario experience but the basic game has a future. Yoshi tools and the ability to create worlds would be a start. The game's biggest downfall is lastly the strict limitation to the already limited WiiU community. Nintendo should expand the game, open the gates to a mobile device and the reply value will increase exponentially. I will return then. 7/10
