The film was originally conceived as a 20 minute short film revolving around Gilmer Diamond & Kadin Hackshaw being offered to recover some stolen property by local businessman Belmont but being ultimately double-crossed resulting in Gilmer & Kadin hiring a dangerous Scottish gangster by the name Wes Rover. The Wes Rover character was eventually scrapped midway through filming due to creative differences and lack of commitment from the actor hired to play the role and only part of the original concept concerning Belmont remained in the final version of the film.
