Very clever film here - misleading by the title (if you don't pause to think), but wholly, dynamically satisfying. The cinematography matches anything on TV today, and even reminds me of The Leftovers on HBO. This is a story of addiction and the devastating ripples it can create, but there IS redemption in this story I appreciate not getting punched in the gut with a downward spiral, designed just to show a character's self-destruction. Well done here. With a name actor, I think we'd be seeing this film in a wider release. Maybe the next one?
I recently took a chance on this after seeing it on Amazon and I have to say that I'm glad I did.
It's a small, independent film but it didn't feel like it or have that 'tv movie' look. Okay it wasn't full of special effects but it didn't need to be.
What pulled it through was the acting of the lead actor and the likability of his character. A good film, that was well written, was slightly different, had an interesting premise and kept me entertained.

Great story about a troubled and complex character. It's a tale of addiction and the consequences of it.
The movie opens with Jack stumbling around the streets in a blizzard of cocaine and alcohol addiction. The people closest to him are barely alluded to, until his brother demands he meet him with some terrible news and a task to take on.
I enjoyed this. Jack is a sympathetic and well acted character, the pacing is nice, and the sense of space around the movie works for me.
There is a reasonable story arc and movement in the characterisation.
It hit a spot.
It wasn't the best movie I have ever seen, but it hit a spot.
At the end of Castaway where Tom Hanks is left with his beachball and the woman who drives away and he's there, kind of wondering, thats what this movie is like.

...not even the genre I was expecting.
Rather expected a post apocalyptic survival movie and while there is a rather white bread version of this as the setting(ish) this is more of an exploration of addiction.
Zero budget, but decently scripted and well acted.
Special effects were non existent, but not especially needed.
At 1 hour 20 min it moved along well.
Ultimately if you head into this one expecting action or indeed anything other than a drama, you will likely be disappointed. Taken for what it actually is it is a decent flick.
Worth the time spent to watch it but never gonna be a favorite or a classic.
