The whole production IMHO does more in each scene with raw talent from the filmmaking / acting / script that most of the big budget affiliates will have to agree to in senseless amounts of contract money and years in planning , and fail to add decent (film ) work to stand-up to time when completed and looked back on in that simple respect.
It does not leave one feeling in the least ..that they just spent their time foolishly and then turning mad as hades at an aggravating ending.
..if you enjoy thinking and feeling and the " what -ifs " of a thought provoking movie then I humbly say you would find the respect for it that I did and that it deserves. I very rarely comment about anything and don't do social media for what its worth , but do always give respect and credit where it is due.

I was shocked to see some really low scores for this film from users, until I read a review where they just hadn't understood and turned it off. If you're not in to slow burning thrillers this film is NOT for you!
This film gets more and more interesting as it goes along, I agree the beginning is a bit slow, but the pay off is stunning. I wish more people knew about this film so I could discuss THAT ending with them!
Sorry to seem vague but the less you know the better going in, it's totally not what you'd expect it's much better!

Some details are pretty quickly revealed, and they begin to paint a different picture than what the watcher originally thought was true. I loved watching the way the two characters interacted and trying to figure out what to believe. Both characters were compelling. This movie did not turn out how I expected and I loved the minimal scene changes. It gave the movie an intimate feel.
After seeing a scene of it on social media, I was hooked and had to watch it. The film as a whole is absolutely brilliant, although it felt more like a short film.
I'd highly recommend giving it a watch if suspense and thrillers are your type of thing.

I wouldn't have watched this based on reviews but a friend recommended it. Some of the acting was questionable I'll admit, and the accents didn't sit well with me. However, I thought the story was actually very good. It reminded me of the plot in 'Before I go to sleep'. The ending had Fair shock value, definitely worth a watch.

- TriviaThis film's title has nothing to do with The Hippopotamus (or an elephant) In The Room, it's a deliberate malapropism for the hippocampus in the brain.
