This is festival worthy of the most interesting aspects of the storyline. The cinematography was sharp and fun. It was not pretentious but I was always smiling. Thanks to the hold cast and crew and the team that put this together well done and good luck going forward. I am looking forward to sharing this with other fans of the niche genre. The style. The goal was met and achieved and I am happy for the experience. They are the best and most importantly for what you are looking for it is going to be exactly what you need. Good job and do please keep writing and keep directing fantastic work like this.
Bryan Brooks did amazing on this movie. This movie is not to be taken seriously because it is a '80s spoof of horror/crime dramas. There are shades of Bruce Campbell's Army of Darkness movie series. This movie is classic and campy good versus evil. Our vigilante hero faces a truly evil villain and hordes of zombie minions who are attempting to take over the city. These villains kidnapped our hero's wife. Our hero's sidekick, a detective does a great job of being adorable and frustrated at the same time. If you like 1980 crime and horror movies this is your movie! This movie was filmed locally in Mendocino and Sonoma counties where Bryan has his home and studio. Bryan did a remarkable job writing, producing, and starring in this movie.
This movie seems like it was written, directed, and played by a bunch of stand-in "actors" and people that have been extras in multiple projects. These people somehow think they are part of Hollywood, and are dead set on turning out hot garbage like this movie, Wrecker. The writing is absolutely ridiculous. The acting is over the top and cringy. There are no shining stars, or moments. The lead guy has a tremendous physique, but zero acting skills. The storyline and plot are absurdly stupid. The cinematography has a 1980's vibe, but not in a good way. Overall, I couldn't even finish this tragedy. This is where horrible movies go to die.
Ready for some over the top well choreographed comic book violence? Charismatic lead and easy on the eyes Bryan Brooks plays tough, intense, and brooding John Knox. His physique makes actor/wrestler John Cena look petite in comparison. Noirish comic dystopian thriller complete with dangerous women, zombies, fetish leather, men in chains, and an over the top patch over one eye lead villain Ryan Lambert all grown up from the 1987 movie 'The Monster Squad'. The women characters range from smart professional to dangerous scantily clad pole huggers ready to kick your *ss. My neighbor said officer Knights kissable lips left her feeling moist.
I stumbled onto 'Wrecker' on Tubi. Glad I did. Fast frenetic comic thrill ride destined to be a cult classic. Four out of five hammers.

Independent flicks are what bold story telling is all about. This felt like the classic David vs Goliath story line with plenty of Christian references peppered amongst all the madness of the modern world. Ryan Lambert was a treat to see after all those Monster Squads we created as kids, the best was when his Knards were mentioned, good stuff~ The big fight scene was reminiscent of Escape from New York with tons of action. The adventure took a tragic end but it seems hope is always on the horizon. If you still enjoy the independent country fair, versus 6 Flags, the action here should sit just right with you.
