Look...leave your artsy fartsy film making for something other than a DOCUMENTARY. Ridiculous. I need facts and a sensible timeline. Jump cuts, gratuitous big game deaths, odd year, month count down and up is as confusing as this review. Yes, wild animals are fascination but this is not National Geographic or the Nature channel. A disclaimer is imperative .
I think who ever directed this, it might have been there first time. I had never heard of this story before and as a dental hygienist I was of course curious, but If I had to see one more clip of wildlife in Africa or the horrendous music (almost louder than the dialogue) at parts, I was going to turn it off. Definitely could have been one episode.
Well done doc, but could've been 2 episodes not 3. Everyone is cartoon villain level evil. Just abysmal. Main dude is a dentist and big game hunter, his dental assistant lady says they were doing root canals people didn't need on nearly everyone. She should be in literal jail. He should be in H***. His wife was a big game hunter too. And they all ran in an evil (conservative) circle. May they all have the days they deserve. Genuinely hard to watch.
On a sode note, this documentary would have been ok, but the images of killing animals was not necessary. How the hell can the hunting and killing of innocent animals still be acceptable in society or by anyone? How on earth can there be "sporting " killing clubs? Absolutely disgusting people. Safari club, what a disgusting joke!
This was an OK watch. Some of it was pretty strange - like the one gentleman dancing before they interviewed him. Definitely was over the top in some areas. They're always over sensationalized or no one would bother watching. I mostly watched because I live right by the dental practices that Dr. Rudolph ran - so out of curiosity. I recall seeing his commercials years ago.
