Price of Confession is so so good. OMG ! Brilliant actors and all the episodes are on point. The story keeps you hooked. Not one scene feels dragged!
We knew it's JeonDoYeon and KimGoEun WE KNEW it's gonna be another level of masterclass acting.
But.. This ThePriceOfConfession we never expected this level of masterclass acting It's so intense. They make me hold my breath...
Kim Go Eun is my goal Kim Go Eun doesn't just act,she becomes.
From the raw ferocity of Exhuma,to the quiet heartbreak of LIBCT,the tender realism of YAEE,and the haunting brilliance of The Price of Confession. Her range is unreal. Her depth is unmatched.
Every role feels like a lifetime she has lived.

Not the greatest show of its kind but nonetheless a satisfying watch; recommended. - A few select observations:
1. I got the impression some reviewers were not impressed by acting and actors/actresses due to a dislike of their characters, however I hold that the acting was very good throughout. The leads brought their characters to life in line with what the story demanded. A shout-out to the excellent remaining cast. Watching for example Ms. Eom during the concluding sequence of ep.8 I realized how good they all were.
2. If you have watched more than one thriller / crime / mystery show in your life, some developments may be "predictable", however, there are plenty of surprises here. If you can predict the ultimate who (and why) of the events then it is because you had this info beforehand... That said, I found the "reveal" somewhat heavy-handed, I trust you will see what I mean when you get there. As to the why the message seems to be how things can easily spiral out of control. I will leave it at that so as to not give away anything.

The drama is about Yoon-Soo, who gets accused of killing her husband, and while in prison she meets Mo-eun and they end up making a deal.
The story is well-paced and gripping, never slow, and it keeps you thinking about what might happen next - that's why I couldn't stick to just one episode a day.
For me, the main reason I watched this drama is Kim Go-eun. I never miss any of her works because she truly lives the role and delivers emotions so naturally.
Jeon Do-yeon was also incredible - her portrayal of fear and confusion felt very real.
Personally, I found the ending satisfying, but I wish Mo-eun fate had been a little different.

The Price of Confession absolutely succeeds at getting under the skin. With Jeon Do-yeun and Kim Go-eun at the helm of characters that are equally memorable in their own right, it is impossible to look away. With its many twists and turns, it's anyone's guess what is truth and what is fiction until the final reveal drops, making The Price of Confession a must-binge viewing experience.
The Price of Confession unfolds like a perfectly chilled glass of absinthe: refined, captivating, and deeply enthralling. In a crowded landscape of mystery thrillers, this Korean series cuts through the noise with surgical precision.
Its brilliance lies in a clever, high-stakes premise. The story navigates a world of moral complexity, shifting loyalties, and unpredictable twists that keep viewers on edge. The writing and direction are deliberate, allowing tension to build masterfully and prompting reflection not just on the truth, but on the true nature of those around us.
Jeon Do-yeon delivers one of her most haunting performances as Yoon-soo, portraying the slow unraveling of a woman confronted by a life that has turned alien. Every tremor in her voice, every flicker of panic in her eyes, feels achingly real, like watching glass fracture in slow motion. Opposite her, Kim Go-eun mesmerizes as Mo-eun, a portrait of controlled menace whose calm, unsettling smile is impossible to ignore. Park Hae-soo provides a grounded, quietly commanding presence as the weary detective, whose sharp instincts cut through the chaos.
The Price of Confession is more than just a compelling mystery thriller; it is a rare, pulse-quickening journey that restores faith in the genre. This is a series that demands attention; clear your weekend, silence your phone, and immerse yourself in one of the most gripping, soul-stirring Korean thrillers Netflix has offered in recent years.
