Some people are gonna love it. Some people are gonna hate. It takes a stance on the justice system of the US and takes it strong. It's empathetic, insightful, and downright gory. For me, this is right up my alley. Worth a watch to find out if it's for you.
Anonymous Killers is a film that is different than most of the horror/thriller films I have watched. I was intrigued from beginning to end, wondering why this man took it upon himself to be the judge of everyone elses bad deeds. I enjoyed watching each individuals story, on how they became a killer. Also the underlying message of justice and how it ties to our criminal justice system in the US. Also like the soundtrack of the film! Definitely a great watch!
The premise is thrilling for its own right, even though it tries to capture the audience with what Saw already captured years ago. The entire movie is based on total gray shaded characters without any protagonist and antagonist where everyone is a danger to others. Each character is forced to talk, and so we get an anthology of back stories - mostly tragic - learning how each of them got on their dark path to murder, misery and mayhem. The movie also hones in on societal factors that led everyone to kill that first time. Amadu turned to a hitman after seeing such trauma and bloodshed. Lucia's life turned upside down after her mother was wrongfully accused by a jealous white woman. Romero turned into a killer after the Russian mafia killed his friends. And then there's Marlene, I think her story is the most tragic of all, you just have to sympathize with her at some point. She's been abused both physical and emotional and as a result of such awful acts, she changed into a completely different person. All above them is Emaramus, whose presence is completely metaphorical to how the justice system works.
Overall, I like the movie, as it never gets boring thanks to the thrilling storytelling, and the music by Pancho Burgos-Goizueta is popping, exciting and adds energy to some of the scenes. The cast performances are decent all around. The cinematography is fine. But the editing is dodgy in some places especially the 'voting' sequence. The sound mixing could have been too as the score overpowers the dialogs at times.

Man did Dom steal the show as Romero! Way to go buddy! Loved this movie! Pacing was a bit odd at first and the editing at the beginning, but those are my only mild criticisms. And they were great the rest of the movie. Other than that I LOVED this movie :) Kept me interested and on my toes!
