Looking Forward to the Future Episodes

Wow what a great trip down memory lane. My friends and I had many of the toys shown in Episode 1. I can't wait to see what they show in the upcoming episodes. I especially liked them talking about trying to get that flimsy wire handle in the hot aluminum mold when making the rubbery critters. Anyone that had that toy knew exactly what the show was talking about. The other great thing about having all those toys as a kid, I don't recall ANY adult supervision. "Here kids, go play". Haha, we must have had Parents of the Year. I wonder how many of the toys in the show have a home in the toy museum in Rochester, NY.

    A Baby Boomers' Delight

What a great show with authentic clips of life here in the United States during the 1900s. As a Baby Boomer, many of the things covered were everyday life as a kid growing up. A really enjoyable trip down memory lane. Interestingly, many of the toys have reached collectable status among Baby Boomers. While watching several episodes with older family members, an incredible irony was brought up. Several episodes covered the dangerous compounds and medical practices that used to be commonplace. These episodes were repeatedly full of modern commercials from big pharma advertising drugs with known side effects ranging from unintended muscle movements, organ failures, allergic reactions, and sometimes death. Could not help but wonder if future episodes will cover the products from the commercials?

Laughed so hard- That's all my YOUTH

Love this series, this is everything I and my peers grew up with! It's a wonder any of us made it to adulthood. I could mention numerous more things as well..... playing with the mercury balls on the kitchen table after I spit out what I didn't swallow from accidentally biting through yet another thermometer stuffed deep into my mouth and told to keep it waaay under my tongue without touching it!! Also always had sling shots and plum trees, nasty combination, tennis balls, tennis ball cans, and lighter fluid! Chemistry sets and who reads the books..? Just mix and see what happens! Ugh.
