Great Job, Internet!: Read This: A former Fox News host on her decision to sue the network
Fox News has built a basic cable ratings empire on its reputation as a bastion of conservative American values, but the channel’s supposedly wholesome image has been besmirched in recent months by numerous allegations of sexual harassment against ex-ceo Roger Ailes. Much of the focus in the Ailes story has been on the lawsuit filed in July by on-air personality Gretchen Carlson. But the scandal appears to extend well beyond Carlson and may, in fact, involve dozens of women employed at Fox News during Ailes’ reign. One such dissatisfied ex-employee is Andrea Tantaros, familiar to Fox viewers from her appearances on panel shows like The Five and Outnumbered. Once considered, in Sean Hannity’s words, a “rising bright young smart conservative star” at the network, Tantaros found herself suspended indefinitely by Fox. The alleged reason was her failure to obtain the proper “approvals” for a book she’d written...

Andrea Tantaros, co-host of Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” mysteriously disappeared from the network in April. A Fox statement said “issues have arisen” with her contract, and that she was going to “take some time off.” Three months later, when Gretchen Carlson and other women accused former Fox chief Roger Ailes of sexual harassment, it seemed like the mystery of what really happened to Tantaros might be solved — especially after New York Magazine reported Monday that she had repeatedly complained to executives in 2015 “about Ailes’s inappropriate sexual behavior.” The magazine reported she was demoted and silenced. Stacey Dash Slammed After Saying Campus Rape Victims Are ‘Bad Girls’
Stacey Dash at an event for American Sniper (2014)
Turns out, Stacey Dash is pretty clueless when it comes to victim blaming.

List: 10 Celebs Who Were Too Old to Play High School Students

"I think it's a good thing for the good girls to be told to stay home, be safe," the Clueless star told the panel. "The other bad girls – bad women – are the ones who like to be naughty, might go out and play and get hurt."

The actress followed up her victim-blaming with a pretty flawed firearms metaphor which continued to ignore the fault of the rapists and perpetrators of sexual crimes.

Clueless Part 2? Or...? Actress turned Fox News contributor Stacey Dash drew a fair amount of Internet outrage today when, while discussing the University of Virginia's decision to order sorority members to not attend fraternity parties this weekend, she pretty much got it all wrong. "Ridiculous," Dash called the ban during today's episode of Outnumbered, where the overall discussion was about whether or not Uva was going too far, Big Brother-style, by telling students where they can and can't party this weekend. "And I think the girls, I think it's a good thing, for the good girls, to you know..." "Women, they're over 18," interjected co-host...

The State of News Streaming: Old and New Media’s Play to Survive
As younger audiences’ list of TV, desktop, tablet, mobile, and social content options grow by the day, legacy and new media executives are bending backward and forward to earn their eyeballs.

On TV news, the youngest audience is around 58, higher than the 18-49 and 25-54 age demo sweet spot advertisers desire. On the high end, a variety of news networks’ audiences skew even older, hovering close to 70.

With the knowledge that getting younger is now a matter of survival from extinction, some of the biggest news channels, print outlets, and digital news sites have developed their own networks and features...

Fox News' Keith Ablow Says Michelle Obama ''Needs to Drop a Few'' on Live TV: ''Who Are We Taking Nutrition Advice From?''—Watch
It's an unspoken rule that you never judge a woman's weight ("Do I look fat in this?" Answer: no), so you can imagine our shock when Fox News' commentator Keith Ablow criticized Michelle Obama's figure on live television. No, seriously. The 52-year-old television personality stopped by the daytime Fox News program Outnumbered on Tuesday, where the panel was discussing the first lady's healthy eating initiative to prevent childhood obesity and encourage better nutrition amongst the American public. After one female panelist commented that we don't need "the federal government projecting these standards upon us," Ablow opted to share his brutally honest—and...
