I really like Cassandra so maybe that's why I liked the movie more. I don't know. It is definitely a bit sappy but I like sappy. By the end I was crying like a wiener. It is hard to write a review when you don't want to spoil anything. Okay I didn't find her role as a prostitute overly believable but boy did she look hot. LOL And I'm a girl that isn't into girls.
Is the absolute worst. It pulls you from any acting that is happening on screen. At best, I would give this movie three stars if they cut the horrendous lyrical ballads from every other scene. Wildly inappropriate scoring.
I've been a Tracy fan for awhile and imagine what I did when I found out that Cassie Scerbo, Kirsten Prout and Keegan Connor Tracy were in the same film, I wasn't disappointed. Scerbo, who plays a Prostitute named Britney, befriends a runaway teenager named Chelsea, who is eventually killed by her new friend Brittany's pimp and returns to Chelsea's family she left years ago. Britney does her best to get by under her new identity, until the truth begins to emerge.
Brittany (Cassandra Scerbo) is a Portland prostitute working for vicious pimp Oscar Jackson (Chad Rook). Brittany befriends runaway foster kid Chelsea (Kirsten Prout). Oscar mistakenly kills Chelsea and Brittany decides to assume Chelsea's identity. Chelsea's aunt Kim (Keegan Connor Tracy) hasn't seen her since she was a child and wants to adopt her.
It's one of those TV movies at the level of Lifetime. It's the worst grading it on the curve. The acting is functional. The most compelling story is the bullied high school girl. The fake dead girl story is tabloid fare. The ending is forced and quick. Overall, it doesn't really exceed that Lifetime level.

The truth is that I watched way worse tv movies than My Life As A Dead Girl. But that doesn't mean this one was of high quality. The whole movie feels like a television movie but the plot is kinda interesting so I guess it wasn't all a waste. As for the acting well there is a reason why they only act in tv movies. They will never be big stars, tv movies will be their future. But again I saw worse so it wasn't all that bad. I applaud the sound and music technician for this movie, not that it was unbelievably great, but at least they had the right idea to add some suspense sound instead of that annoying soft piano music we're normally get bombarded with in those movies. It changed immediately the quality of the movie, glad someone gets it finally.
