Funny, engaging, genuinely good performances by everyone but Gideon Emery as Greg was the one that stood out the most to me. And no, I'm not just saying that because he's naked, sexy, and super buff in this (though that's definitely a plus). His comedic timing is very good and he's also very good at playing the nuances of Greg. The 2 issues I had with the movie were the dialogue being a bit cheesy/predictable at times and the pacing, as it felt like the movie dragged towards the end. But overall I still enjoyed it, for a low budget indie movie I was pleaseantly surprised with what they achieved.
This film totally cheered up my Thursday night! I think this film would make a great sitcom. Fun indie film recommended!
Came across this movie after diving into Indie movies recently. I was impressed by the cinematography and acting, the writing was funny but slow at times. It can't be hard to set up a whole movie in one location, though. I ended up googling "one-location" movies after watching this one and loved some as much as this one.
You have to admire indie filmmakers who often must rely upon good storytelling without all the bells and whistles that big studios have. Avalanche has done a great job of crafting an engaging drama/comedy all in just one location. It holds your attention and is cleverly plotted and executed. Actors were on point and I was thoroughly entertained throughout.
Shocked to see the score on this movie -- I liked it, you know. I think the "not a smasher guy" was onto sumthing. It's not for everyone, I get that, but it has things in it that everyone can enjoy. Patience. It's not a super hero movie. And I thought the first half was slow, but when you get to the end, it's like it all comes together. Like it all makes sense. You get this full feeling and you like and hate the characters all at once LOL
