Coach Osh

Was fortunate enough to attend the premiere of this documentary yesterday with my wife and meet TJ afterwards. Just such a great hockey player, and an even better person. I had followed this story since before the Stanley Cup Finals in 2018. I had debated going down to DC for Game 5 myself, but opted to stay home and watch with my wife, daughters, and my parents (including my dad who had advancing dementia). I will forever be touched for getting to share that very elusive and long sought after DC Championship with my aging father and watching TJ celebrate and cry as he hugged Coach Osh afterwards. This film captures all that and more, including some great career highlights, delightful and humorous home movies, interviews, and the special relationship and full circle bittersweet life experience between fathers and sons (and daughters, too). Thanks to the filmmakers for sharing this important story and to TJ Oshie for always leading with his heart. Let's go Caps!
