The director Jean-Charles Hue is a film maker specialized in gypsies stories: LA BM DU SEIGNEUR and MANGE TES MORTS, and also two films about Tijuana, Mexico. This series is some kind of a semi documentary about gypsy community, and the producers included some mafia clans feud elements into this plot. If you don't know anything about this community, the atmosphere, spirit very special, specific to gypsies, it may be worth. The way the women are treated, the rites, the traditions - before a wedding, for instance, to be sure the bride is virgin...The patriarchy and honor, manhood and family spirit. For the rest, you find here all the ingredients of Romeo And Juliette like schemes in family clans wars. Nothing really new. Not bad but not that exciting either. Not GOMORRA.
